Portfolio Presentations
I sometimes need to present on projects that are relevant to my portfolio as a data scientist. Because these presentations can be offered more than once–and to different audiences–even presentations given exclusively to an audience captured elsewhere in this website’s sidebar are still linked in this page.
Synthesis Science Course Development
One of the projects that I am most proud to have worked on is the Long Term Ecological Research Network’s SSECR (Synthesis Skills for Early Career Researchers) course. The most tangible output of this project was the course website (lter.github.io/ssecr), but working on this project gave me the opportunity to work extensively with a large team to create and maintain a wide-reaching website that supported a diverse audience of early career researchers. The technical, interpersonal, and project management challenges associated with this effort were invaluable to my development as a data scientist and I could not be more proud of what our team has produced.
